After an intense audit, Russula received the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management certification.
The new standard replaces OHSAS 18001:2007 and emphasizes identifying and evaluating occupational risks.
ISO 45001 was published in March 2018 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and provides a rigorous and effective set of processes to improve work safety.
“Since the publication of the ISO 45001 standard by the International Organization for Standardization for occupational safety and health management systems in March 2018, Russula began the migration of its OHSAS 18001 management system to ISO 45001:2018. The adaptation process culminated after the TüvRheiland’s audit, with the certification according to this standard in 2020.
With the implementation of ISO 45001, risk management is performed considering the context of Russula, needs and expectations of its workers and other stakeholders, and the scope of the system defined by the organization. At the same time, it’s a framework for preventing injuries and deterioration of the health of its workers in safer and healthier workplaces, by eliminating hazards and minimizing risks through the implementation of effective prevention measures, taking advantage of opportunities and improving performance. This certification received by Russula SAU demonstrates our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our workers, customers and partners throughout the global supply chain.” said Elvira Martinez, Russula’s Certification and QEHS Manager.
